Day three of waking up horrifically early coughing. Jesus H., people. I'm pretty miserable. Thankfully my mom is coming back tomorrow because not that I don't love my husband with all my heart or anything but when it comes to the common cold/sinus/death virus he gets this very Boy Scout "Rub some dirt on it" POV and you really can't rub dirt on

Just finished reading "Born Standing Up" which is an autobiography of Steve Martin's career as a comic and it's absolutely a great read. I'd definitely recommend it! To be honest I had it book on mp3 and even more I would recommend that as well, Steve Martin has an amazing way of putting cadence in his stories that... add to it? I don't even know

With much bitching and moaning I wrote about 1700 words today. I'm at about 178,009k which means I have 21,991 words to go before December 31st to meet my "Get Your Words Out" goal. 1221 words per day. It's possible but um... who knows? I've already beaten last year by almost 15k which is an accomplishment in and of itself. But I'm rambling. Man am

My mom and I had this conversation yesterday about how horrible today was going to be for the Cardinals. She's a pretty big fan (I'm no much for NFL, so I just agree with whoever is around me) but is also realistic as she's been following for 20 years, yes twenty and only 1/10 of the time has it been anything better than horrible

So really long story short, I had a shitty morning. A really... really... really... shitty morning. And I was miserable and depressed and sore and I went to my mom's house to find out that the crazy woman had injured (possibly broken!) her foot and drove herself to the hospital because it was her left foot and you know. In some universe this makes

Nothing makes me laugh harder than my mom's use of the word 'bromance' as it roughly translates to "they're so in love, aren't they?". Not that I don't agree with her, but I've tried really hard to explain to her that 'bromance' is a friendship rather than like... love and babies or whatever it is she assumes

Avenue Q, having obsessively listened to the music for like 7 years and having now seen it on stage, is one kick butt play. It had it's flaws (I didn't like our Gary Coleman and our Brian but that was personal views) but beyond that it was amauzing and well thought out and ... um... Funny. Really really funny. Highly recommend
